Kukere master, Iyanya, has explained why he left Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records less than two years after teaming up with the record label. The MTN project Fame star appeared to have been fed up with life under Don Jazzy, as he was said to have struggled to repeat the same feat that made him one of Nigeria’s promising music stars some five years ago. Though, Iyanya said his decision to leave the label that prides itself as one of the biggest music records in Africa was because of his plan to keep seeking for ways to become better with his music career that many people believed was failing. Iyanya, who is now signed to The Temple Music, in a recent radio interview, said he discovered it was time for him to move on and face new challenges life might throw at him, adding that he remains a Mavin for life. Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, has revealed why the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) cannot govern the country well. Mr. Jonathan said the ruling party was founded on propaganda hence it could not govern well even after winning the election. The former president said this on Friday during a meeting with the the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, and members of the party’s National Working Committee at the Jonathan Foundation in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. “Propaganda may help you win election, but it can’t help you govern and that is what the APC has seen in the last 32 months,” a statement from the spokesman of Secondus, Ike Abonyi, quoted the former President as saying. The crisis in the All Progressive Congress in Kaduna state got messier Sunday as the Restoration faction of the party led by Senator Hunkuyi announced the suspension of the state governor, Nasir El Rufai for six months for his failure to respond to a query issued to him last week Thursday. El Rufai’s suspension is coming two days after the main faction of the party announced the suspension of Senator Hunkuyi for six months and expelled 28 others.
